As per RCMP Canadian Firearm Program requirements, instructional time for this course is 8 hours.
There will be a 30-minute lunch time for students/instructors. Please note that written and hands on testing will commence after the required instructional time. Length of testing period is dependent on number of students and the length of time each student requires to complete their individual hands-on testing.
Prerequisite: The Non-Restricted Firearm Safety Course must be passed prior to taking the Restricted Firearm Safety Course.
Instructional time for courses will begin promptly at 8:30am and we ask that students arrive at 8:15am.
First-time licence applicants must pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course before applying for a Possession and Acquisition Licence. After the in-class instruction, you will do a written and practical test.
Anyone 12 years or older can take the CFSC. Children under 12 can take the course, but only for educational purposes. They will not do the written or practical exams. To get a Minor’s Licence to borrow and use non-restricted firearms, the minor must be between 12 and 17 years old.

Rescheduling and No Shows
Changing and re-booking any dates booked must be done in person at the range counter. Rescheduling must be made a minimum of 7 days before the course date. Maximum 1 reschedule is allowed.
Refunds will not be given on any course bookings for any reason. (Including moving, etc.) No Exceptions.
No shows forfeit 100% of the course cost
